Release Notes - Build 79, version 1.1.2018.8.25229

A summary of the highlights in this release.

New Features

  1. ) There is now a button on the Calibration Configuration and a process for Importing a Calibration. This minimizes errors in entering long coefficients.
[GEX-1732] - Dose Calibration Import Feature

  2. Report Headers can be copied for easy editing of errors. Deactivate the old and activate the new!
[GEX-2010] - Copy Report Header Feature

  3. Enterprise users have the option to use measurement data in near real time.
[GEX-2030] - New Real-Time Readings Export Table for Enterprise Users

  4. The software output to Excel has been improved and you can now import a template with worksheets linked to the master export layout.
[GEX-2033] - Export to excel Templates

  5. The softwre now integrates the MS-3 barcode scanner model in addition to the MS-2.
    [GEX-2068] - Scaffold MS-3 project
    [GEX-2069] - Implement MS3 functions
[GEX-2070] - Refactor Reader UI in Setup for MS3
[GEX-2071] - Implement and test MS3 during Absorbance Readings

  6. [GEX-2118] - Allow baud rate to be edited after using reader

Improvements

Major improvements are included in this build.

  1. All Reports screens now list the Report ID, Version, Batch and Pathway to which the report pertains.
[GEX-1489] - Add Pathway and Batch to summary screen
[GEX-1490] - Add Pathway and Batch to Measure Screen
    [GEX-1770] - Fix Report Headers
[GEX-1987] - Change Font of Report ID name in UI

  2. The process for Creating reports remains the same but with restrictions on when are report can be created and improved user messaging. New reports can no longer be created unless the user has a valid setup of reader and calibration. Previously the report would be created only to fail the user on the Measure screen and not allow readings. This was inverted to avoid creating extra reports in the system for which no configuration exists.
[GEX-2133] - Refactor Create Report Function
[GEX-2034] - Failed reader doesn't populate more details
[GEX-2144] - Reread should not reset edited thickness

  3. Due to the changes to report Creation the same logic now applies to importing reports for Enterprise license users. These checks now occur when the Save Changes button is pressed on Edit Headers. Import reports are created regardless so long as their batch, pathway and report type inputs match. But the user is alerted and measurement functions are disabled if the user is not configured correctly.
[GEX-2133] - Refactor Create Report Function

  4. Processing reports logic was changed. A report may be processed by any user at any time unless the there are any required header fields that are incomplete. Missing dosimeter measurements will no longer prevent processing. Improved user messsaging now tells the user if dosimeters are skipped or unmeasured as a double verification.
[GEX-2126] - Refactor Process Report Function

  5. The versioning process is completely new. A user may now version a report using a calibration for the same pathway and batch but a different reader. This allows reading the same set of dosimeters on two different instruments. If user's do not have the either the same calibration or one that is valid for the report's pathway and batch, versioning is prevented.
[GEX-2132] - Refactor Version Report Function
[GEX-2142] - Version with same calibration & reader - force zero on first open to measure screen

  6. Finally, the user messaging surrounding opening existing reports is much improved to tell the user why the user interface sets up the way that it does. In addition, a new Reader Status mode called "None" now exists to inform the user that there is no reader activated for the report. This contrasts with "Failed" reader status that only displays if there is a failure in communication with the instrument. The "None" status means that the configuration will not allow the use of the connected reader, if any.

Bug fixes

  1. A large number of minor bugs are fixed due to the issues noted in improvement to the Create/OpenExisting/Process/Version functions for dosimetry reports.

  2. [GEX-2131] - Stat Rereads not functioning normally
