1 - Shelf life
5-years (warranted and certified with each order) printed on the shelf packaging and the product certificate. |
Any change to the performance of the dosimeter due to aging after the product’s expiration date is not expected to be catastrophic. Changes after the expiration date are slow to develop. |
2 - Pre-irradiation Storage
Keep away from radiation sources Subsequent exposure may be qualified by an increase in the original absorbance (measured film signal before irradiation) at the time of receipt. |
Store in the original, factory packaging Product benefits from storage in the conditions provided by the primary packaging. |
Store in a cool, dry, stable location.
3 - Post-irradiation Storage
Store the product away from radiation sources. |
Store the product away from UV light. UV light exposure will cause a darkening color formation and an increase in the absorbance value. If the product is removed from the original pouch, protect the B3 film from UV light. |
After proper heat treatment, B3 dosimeters are stable for ≥ 6 months when stored in a cool, dry, stable environment (office, laboratory or similarly consistent environment that is heated and air conditioned to locally appropriate room temperature). |
