Placement – place dosimeter in position before irradiation.

Irradiation – irradiate dosimeter at a known location and time.

Retrieval – retrieve dosimeter from placement position. The time interval between irradiation and heat treatment should be considered as an influence quantity.

Post-Irradiation Heat Treatment – heat treatment of B3 dosimeters after irradiation is required for most applications to stabilize the response

Measurement – measure the dosimeter per an established method.

Retention – for a period that best suits the needs of the application requirements. For example, the need to re-check measurements.

Dispose - Dispose of dosimeter in a general waster receptacle based on user requirements.
